Rust and tall weeds. So common in rural Japan.

Uji isn't exactly rural--at least not where I took that photo. I mean Rokko Island is a weed paradise and that's a man made island in Kobe. Perhaps rusty and weedy cities is more of a Kansai thing? Either way it's photogenic to me.

Yea ! great picture as usual. . .
I will be uploading a few pictures of the de Young's copper not really rusted but sort controlled looking rusty glory soon. . . not quite your rusty glory but still very interesting. I love that Museum !
