Boulangerie Miyanaga : Sleepy Restaurant Review

02.04-miyanaga
A green onion topped croque-monsieur, crescent shaped ham and cheese, and a ham and lotus root bread.

Opening sometime last year Boulangerie Miyanaga in front of the smaller north exit to Hankyu Shukugawa has quickly become my favorite bakery here in Japan.

Miyanaga doesn’t make soft bread. This is real tough bread. Californian, European style crusty goodness. Not only is the bread wonderful, but also the stuff that’s mixed into it is equally good. Herb chicken, real cheeses, walnuts, Tanba black beans, cranberries, ham and more all in very, very generous quantities mixed into the breads here for very reasonable prices. Miyanaga isn’t cheap, but you’re not gouged and you get your value for your yen. Besides bread they also make some of the best quiches that I’ve had anywhere.

My recommendations:
-Curry pan
-Herb chicken
-Cheese and bacon quiche
-Plus the three that are in the photo
